An issue we often fight in business is the fact that we are both 19 years old. People often confuse lack of age & lack of experience as the same thing. Does experience really matter? Jason Fried of 37 Signals said “How long someone’s been doing it is overrated. What matters is how well they’ve been doing it.”
Our ideas help clients reach their target audience in a way that delivers positive results and that has nothing to do with our age!
Does it matter where a good idea comes from? Does age somehow quantify how good the idea is…? If the idea is good the age of the contributor shouldn’t matter. Good ideas are good ideas.
Age/Experience are not numbers that matter; the only numbers that matter are the results of our ideas.
We designed a Jeff Saturday poster for The People’s Burn Foundation that was used as a fund raising item at the AFC Championship. The result: a little over $5,000 was raised in two hours. Age/Experience had nothing to do with the result of our efforts. Check out some photos from the event.

Halogen Designs had the opportunity to design a Jeff Saturday poster for this weekend’s fundraiser for the People’s Burn Foundation (PBF) at the AFC Championship. Anyone who donates outside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will receive this limited edition Jeff Saturday poster.
Use of Design:
We chose this photo of Jeff Saturday because it represents charging ahead and not looking back; this is relevant to the current status of both the Colts and PBF organizations. This poster was designed when the Colts had just come off of two tough losses. They have now overcome them by winning 20-3 in their last game against the Ravens. PBF has faced tough economic challenges and is now moving ahead into the future leaving the past behind by engaging the community to support burn victims and their families. We tried to captivate the imagery of both situations by adding a grunge effect to fade out whats behind Jeff. The grunge effect served as good contrast to enhance the colors of Saturday’s blue jersey charging ahead demonstrating that whats behind him isn’t relevant to the future.
We encourage everyone to stop by Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday to donate & receive a Limited Edition Jeff Saturday Poster designed by Halogen Designs.

There are a lot of exciting things going on with HD right now. A wave of unique clientele and a new online presence for Halogen Designs are leading the focus of our fast paced team. The People’s Burn Foundation (PBF) recently voted Jim Shaffer as the executive director with the focus of, “enhancing its vision, mission, and identity in central Indiana and around the state.” Read more about Jim Shaffer
Mr. Shaffer immediately focused on realigning the foundation’s identity with a modern look and loving mission. A 2 week deadline was set with Halogen Designs to meet the much anticipated appearance on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom show. After many designs HD and PBF decided on the blue heart logo. “The People’s Burn Foundation wanted a fresh new brand to focus on the name of the organization rather than continuing with the former logo and acronym, PBF. We also wanted to retain the importance of the heart symbol to the organization in a more contemporary and clean look. We are very pleased with the new logo, which has received many favorable comments in presenting a creative new identity,” said Jim Shaffer.
Jeff Saturday of the Indianapolis Colts raised $3,000 for PBF and their logo was featured on Bob and Tom’s website gaining national exposure for the foundation and its new identity (currently here http://www.q95.com/pages/bob-and-tom.html?page=2).
